A beginners presentation aimed at building awareness and getting started on your family history.
Introduction to Oral History (presented by Oral History Association of Australia – WA Branch) – South Perth Library
Tuesday 13 March; 1.00 – 2.30 pm
This will be an informal session comprising a presentation together with a Q&A component explaining what Oral History is and how it is used. An overview will be provided of the ‘Introduction to Oral History’ workshop and the ‘Using Digital Equipment’ workshop which are run by the Oral History Association of Australia (WA Branch). Written handouts describing the workshops will also be provided.
The session will be presented by Julia Wallis and Doug Ayre who are practical working oral historians and conduct the ‘Introduction to Oral History’ workshop. Doug is also involved in the ‘Using Digital Equipment” workshop.”
