Talking ’bout my generation

TBMG2014

In 2012 the City of South Perth Libraries successfully launched a new biennial Local History Award, Talking ’bout my Generation.

The award encourages visitors and residents of the City of South Perth to record their memories and stories of the area.

The outcomes of ‘Talking ’bout my generation’ are to:

  • Encourage people to record and share (through reading, talking, writing, etc) their memories of the City of South Perth.
  • Develop the holdings of the City of South Perth Local History Collection.
  • Engage visitors and residents of the City of South Perth with our Local History.

For more information on how you can enter the City of South Perth Local History Awards, and to see previous winners and the award winners collections, please visit the South Perth Library Website – Local History Award.

For any queries, please email localhistory@southperth.wa.gov.au or telephone 08 9474 0800.
